A 689 km² copper-gold porphyry district in BC's prolific Golden Triangle — host to the Gnat Pass deposit plus 13 mineral occurrences and 19 targets, along-trend to Red Chris, Galore Creek and Schaft Creek.

The district-scale Latham Copper-Gold Project covers 689 km² within the prolific “Golden Triangle” — a section of the “Golden Horseshoe” arc of gold and polymetallic mineralization within the highly prospective Stikine terrane of northern British Columbia. The region hosts a number of proximal major copper-gold porphyry deposits along-trend to the southwest, including Red Chris, Saddle North, Schaft Creek and Galore Creek.

The town and regional airport of Dease Lake lies approximately 16 km north of the property boundary along Highway 37, which transects the eastern portion of the property. Latham sits within a north-northeast trending copper-gold porphyry trend highly attractive to major mining companies — including Newmont, Newcrest, Imperial Metals and Teck — operating within a 40–150 km radius to the south.

Located on the property is the Gnat Pass deposit, the last developed prospect in the region not advanced since its discovery alongside Red Chris, Schaft Creek and Galore Creek during BC's 1960s porphyry rush. Its surface footprint is comparable to the Saddle North deposit, first drilled in 2017 and acquired by Newmont in 2021. The property contains an additional 13 known mineral occurrences and 19 exploration targets at various stages of advancement.

Why Latham matters

Gnat Pass Deposit

A copper-gold porphyry deposit hosted in the composite Gnat Pass stock, carrying a historical, non-NI 43-101-compliant indicated estimate of 33 Mt at 0.39% Cu that remains open beyond 200 m vertical depth and along strike to the north.

District-Scale Endowment

689 km² with 13 known mineral occurrences and 19 exploration targets, including Dalvenie, Hu, Pallen and Thenatlodi.

High-Grade Intercepts

Historic drilling at Dalvenie returned 1.5 m of 3.73% Cu and 4.8 g/t Au (68-11) and 2.2 m of 0.89% Cu and 3.4 g/t Au (68-3).

Untested Anomalies

Multiple untested copper-in-soil anomalies, including a ~1,000 m × 150 m trend at Dalvenie and a 750 m × 250 m anomaly to the east.

The geological story

Stratigraphy

Predominantly Late Triassic Stuhini Group submarine volcanics and sediments, with exposures of the Latest Triassic–Early Jurassic Hazelton Group, intruded by syenite to quartz monzonite stocks and dikes genetically related to mineralization.

Structure

Primary north-trending mineralization (Gnat Pass, Dalvenie) reflects north-striking basement lineaments; subsidiary east-striking cross-faults host Early Jurassic intrusions, alteration and veins seen at Hu, Pallen North and Thenatlodi.

Alteration & Mineralization

Widespread carbonate-sericite with localized silicification and advanced argillic alteration; polymetallic pyrite-chalcopyrite-galena-molybdenum veining suggests exposure at the upper portion of a porphyry system — prospective for porphyry, epithermal and skarn-style mineralization.

Access

Dease Lake town and regional airport ~16 km north via Highway 37, which transects the eastern portion of the property.
